& 10 reasons why you should love them too

There is no secret I love XPLAN. Ask anyone in our office or any clients we work with and they will tell you that I am a big fan of XPLAN & in particular XPLAN tasks. My love for tasks has grown so much in the past year that now I can't get enough of them.

Here is a list of the top 10 things I love about XPLAN tasks.

Good luck on the journey WStevenson

Jessica-Lamb's video really shows how far the user experience for workflows has come even in just a few months since the Task Hub was released - definitely taking away the barriers for those less tech savvy users but still giving admins flexibility around how they set things up

    Hi Jessica,

This video has changed my Xplan world!

I had seen the labs option before but never dared to enable it until i watched this the other day.

The checklist and comments area alongside in the new view is so much more user friendly and the checklist single click is sooo much better.

One little thing i noticed through the video was the recurring task option. I've not seen that on any of our Xplan site's tasks before.

Is that a custom template or is there a setting hidden in a template/site setting somewhere that would enable this option on our site?

    Thanks,

    Will

      Hi Will WStevenson

I am so pleased you enjoyed the video. Recurring tasks are not custom. I have seen them on all XPLAN sites I work with. I checked to see if there was potentially a capability - but there doesn't seem to be an obvious one. I am not sure how you could hide this, therefore I can't tell you how to unhide it.

I found this on community - https://community.iress.com/t5/Help-Guide-Xplan/Use-Tasks/ta-p/4956#To_create_a_recurring_task - please see if this helps.

I hope I am not breaking any Advisely rules here and Primrose-G will tell me if I am.  But if that doesn't help, please call me on 1300 032 023 and I would be happy to do a screen share with you.

Recurring tasks have always been hard to find in Xplan (and I don't think they have made their way to the new interface yet either!).

You need to first access the 'classic' task view then in the search filters change the 'List' drop down from 'Tasks to Do' (which should show all your outstanding regular tasks) to 'Recurring tasks' (which is where Jessica-Lamb's video picks up). You can then click the 'Add' button to create a recurring task and you get all the extra options (or if you have any existing recurring tasks view them below).

    Thanks justingrima

I will take note to ensure that I articulate the pathway to the area I'm demoing in future videos.

Great to get feedback and I love how the community on here is coming together to help each other out. Great work everyone!

Thank you both for your input.

I stumbled across it just before you posted Justin.

Now i get to play around and see where we can implement it throughout our practice.

    Thank you both...  again.

    Will.
